Established in 1995, Self Help Services are a user-led mental health charity providing primary care mental health services and self help interventions to people across the North. Self Help Services provide Manchester’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service. IAPT is a government initiative set up to help people access therapeutic support in their area.
Self Help Services have been trained in the use of the Planning for the Future course, written by Dr Chris Williams. People who are coming to the end of their therapeutic treatment with the IAPT service will have the chance to attend this half a day course, which will help them consolidate what helped them to reach recover and how to stay well after therapy.
